MRS. NOAH HADDOCK DEAD

Mrs. Susan ARNOLD HADDOCK, 76, wife of Noah HADDOCK, died suddenly at her home in Grimesland Wednesday morning at 11:40 o'clock. She had been in declining health for the past three years. Funeral services will be conducted from the home Friday afternoon at three o'’clock by the Rev. J. R. DAVIDSON, pastor of the Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. Wistar HAMILTON, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Washington, and burial will be in Oakdale cemetery in Washington.
Mrs. HADDOCK, daughter of the late Prince and Annie
MILLS ARNOLD, was born and reared near Black Jack. She was first married to Jordan ELKS of near Grimesland in 1894 and he died in 1900. She was married to Noah HADDOCK of near Ayden in 1911. They made their home in the Grimesland
community until 1935 and since that time had lived in Grimesland. She was a life-long member of the Black Jack Free Will Baptist Church and Ladies Aid.
Surviving are her husband; a son and daughter by her first marriage, W. Charlie ELKS of Washington and Mrs. J. R. EDWARDS of Simpson; seven grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
