Otha "Dan" Cooper, 77, of Murray, died Sunday, July31, 2011 at Green Acres Nursing Home in Mayfield.

Born March 10, 1934 in Big Sandy, TN, he was of Baptist faith and a retired Iron Worker.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andy Cooper and Blanch Cope, and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Cooper is survived by his wife, Linda Cooper of Murray; four sons, Barry Cooper of Murray, Michael Cooper of Illinois, Joe Cooper of Benton, Gary Cooper of Paris, TN; one daughter Dana Cooper of Florida; one brother, Joe Jackson of Paris; three sisters, Lorene Rogers and Shirley Biggs, both of Paris, and Ruby Farmer of Big Sandy; and six grandchildren.

Services are scheduled for 1:00 P.M. Tuesday August 2, 2011 at Imes – Miller Funeral Home with Bro. Johnny Arnold officiating, burial will follow in the Temple Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive visitors Tuesday August 2, 2011 from 10:00 A.M. until the funeral hour at Imes – Miller Funeral Home.
