Funeral services were held this week in Amarillo, Tex., for Walter F. Higginbotham, 37, of 3035 South Chestnut Avenue, who died after suffering a heart attack Friday while visiting relatives in Amarillo. Burial was in Amarillo.
Higginbotham, a painter for a Fresno paint and body shop, had lived in Fresno since 1941. He was a native of Louisiana.
His survivors include his widow, Opal, of Fresno; a son, Walter Jr., of Fresno; a daughter, Sandra Higginbotham of Fresno; six sisters, Mrs. Ethel Derrick and Mrs. Gladys Vinzant, both of Fresno; Mrs. Almetia Ford of Delhi, La.; Mrs. Polly Collins of Fort Worth, Tex., and Mrs. Wilma Little and Mrs. Thelma Snow, both of Oak Grove, La.; five brothers, Nolan, Warren and Billy, all of Fresno, and Harold and Johnny, both of Oak Grove.
