Mrs. Margaret High passed away yesterday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the home of William Cornell, two miles northeast of Stockwell. Her death was caused by pneumonia. Had she lived until January she would have been 82 years old. Mrs. High was born in Ohio, but came to Indiana when she was 10 years old. She lived here until eight years ago, when she went to Woodburn, Oklahoma to make her home with her daughter, Mrs. Ambrose Lake, who is the only surviving member of the family. Mrs. High returned to her old home here three weeks ago. She was a member of the Methodist church at Salem and was a woman of noble character. She was the author of many kind acts and her life was a useful one. The funeral arrangements will not be made until Mrs. Lake arrives from Oklahoma.
