SPEAKS Leslie Glenn Speaks Sr, peacefully passed into the loving arms of our Heavenly Father January 22, 2005 surrounded by family. Leslie was born Sept 26, 1932 in Elmore City, Ok to Ruby Lorene and James Wesley Speaks. Les made his life as a carpenter and along with raising 6 children he also was the 1956 and 1957 world champion in archery. Les, an accomplished guitarist was blessed with a very beautiful singing voice and was music director in the World Wide Church of God in Ada, Ok. Leslie married Vera Louise Slaten August 24,1950 and to their union were born 6 children, Catherine (Rob) Thomas, Pamela (Pete) Brown, Ruby (Ken) Clark, Merry Speaks, Sarah Speaks and Leslie (liz) Speaks Jr. Along with Leslie's children he leaves behind 13 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 4 brothers, Wesley and Troy Speaks, Julian and Jerry Kennedy, 5 Sisters, Mary Pelfrey, Laveral Somers, Diane Peters, Gail Speaks and Shirley Kennedy numerous Loving cousins and dear dear friends. Leslie was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, his Mother and Father and 1 Brother Edward Holmes. In lieu of flowers, please contribute to your favorite charitable organization in memory of Les, a very giving and loving christian man. Burial arrangements are pending under the direction of Primrose Funeral services 1109 N. Porter Norman, Ok. 405-321-6000
