"At least 10 persons died in Indiana as a result of highway accidents attributed to the dangerous driving conditions or in accidents connected with the ice storm. Dead were: Ermine Foley, 38 years old, 601 East Ohio Street . . . [article lists several others]. Mr. Foley, father of two children, was injured fatally at 2:30 o'clock yesterday morning when he was struck by an automobile on U.S. 31 and Stop Eight Road. Driver of the car, Ray Stayton of Greenwood, told state police that Mr. Foley was standing in the center of the road and that Mr. Stayton did not see him because of the sleet and rain. An employee of the Indianapolis Brass and Aluminum Foundry, Mr. Foley had lived here 15 years. Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Dorothy Foley, two children, Dale Foley and Louise Foley, the parents, Mr. and Mrs. Silas Foley of Cincinnati, O., two sisters and seven brothers. Funeral arrangements have not been completed."
