Joseph Lee "Joe" Hale, 88, died Monday, March 28, 2011, at Graceland Care Center in New Albany. He was born April 10, 1922 in Union County to George Washington and Rosalee Motes Hale. He was a farmer and a Baptist.
Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany with Bro. Kenny Adair officiating. Burial will be in Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery. Glenfield Funeral Home in New Albany is in charge of arrangements.
He is survived by five sons, Bobby Joe Hale of New Albany, Billy Ralph Hale of Myrtle, Hubert Lamar Hale of New Albany, Johnny Lacy Hale of Myrtle and Tommy Ray Hale of Hickory Flat; one daughter, Sheila Hale of Myrtle; one sister, Mattie Puffer of Myrtle; 17 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Hale and four sons, James Edward, Ricky D., Robert Henry and William Lee Hale.
Pallbearers will be William Hale, Jr., Lee Hale, Johnny Lacy Hale, Jr., Terry Bryan, Tommy Foreman, Charles Hale and Chris Ray.
