Burial of Mrs. Claudia Merlin Boutwell, longtime resident of Sacramento, will be in the East Lawn Cemetery Monday following services at 2 P.M. in the James R. Garlick Funeral Home. Dr. Clarence A. Kircher of Westminster Presbyterian Church will officiate at the services. Mrs. Boutwell, who resided at 1817 Forty Eighth Street, died yesterday in her home after a short illness. She was a native of Minnesota but had lived in Sacramento since 1906. Her husband, Ernest A. Boutwell, formerly operated a hardware store at 1214 J Street. She is survived by her husband; her daughter Merlin Boutwell of Sacramento; her brothers Bert T. Wakefield of Del Paso Heights and Harold Wakefield of Sacramento and a sister, Mrs. J.N. Carnes of Minnesota.
