Lin married Grace Hafford in October 1927 at the Indianola Church of Christ, where both were members. After their wedding, and for the rest of his life he lived at 100 Walhalla (101 E. California) in the Clintonville neighborhood of Columbus.
Grace and Lin shared the home with Grace's sister Helen until she passed in the 1950s. Lin's sister, Estella Ankrom, lived nearly directly across the Walhalla Ravine from them, at 105 E. Weber.
Lin and Grace had no children of their own, but were very much a part of their extended family from nieces and nephews, grand nieces and nephews and great grand nieces and nephews.
