Fern Bradford, age 88, died Friday, August 05, 2011 in Amarillo. Texas. Services will be at 10:00 AM Tuesday at Parkview Baptist Church in Childress with Pastor, Don McFarland officiating. Burial will be in Childress Cemetery.

Visitation will be held at Johnson Funeral Home on Monday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.

Fern was born September 28, 1922 in Beckham County, Oklahoma to Ulen David and Dessie Bell Kennemer. She and husband, Wade married in 1938 and were married for 59 years. She was known as Grannie Fern to her grandchildren as well to her friends. God blessed her with the gift of cooking. Not only did she feed those in need but she enjoyed preparing food for her church family. Her desire would be for Meals on Wheels carry on with her gift of cooking.

She was a member of the Good Neighbors Club and of Parkview Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Wade, son, DeWayne and daughter, Sandra Sue.

Suvivors include: Two sons, Thomas Bradley and wife, Linda of Liberal, Kansas and David Bradley and wife, Cheryl of Tulsa, Ok.

Two daughters, Donna Russell and husband, John Robert, and Jenny Bradford, both of Amarillo
