James Perry Hart, 82, Trimble farmer, died Wednesday, following a short illness.

The son of the late John C. and Lizza Beth Hart, he was born December 23, 1871. He was united in marriage to Liza Gover, February 23, 1898. Three children were born to this union. Two children, Anna Hart and and Della Hart Barker, and one brother, Dr. J. L. Hart, preceded him in death.

"Uncle Jim", as he was affectionately known, was a devoted husband and father. His abiding loyalty to family and friends was matched by his high sense of honor and his kindness to all with whom he came in contact. His pleasant smile and friendly manner won him a host of friends wherever he went. Although he professed his faith in Christ just last summer and united with the Oak Grove Baptist Church, he was loyal to his church and attended its services as much as his health permitted.

Surviving him besides his wife are one son, Dewey Hart, Trimble; one sister, Mrs. Lou Molen, Oak Hill; three brothers, Ira Hart and Robert Hart, both of Trimble, and Tom Hart of Oak Hill; six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and a host of other friends and relatives.

Mr. Hart will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 2:00 o'clock at the Oak Grove Baptist Church at Trimble. Officiating were Reverends Paul Prather and Bert Whitaker. Interment was in the Oak Grove Cemetery.
