Funeral services for George Vermilyer, who died at the age of 86, Tuesday, will be held this afternoon at 2:30. Rev. R. E. Turnbull, pastor of the Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be in East Batavia Cemetery.

Mr. Vermilyer was born in 1862 [sic, recte 1852] on a farm northwest of Elgin. At the age of 9 he moved with his parents to a farm site just north of this city where he had resided until his death. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge.

The deceased is survived by his daughter Mabel, three sons, George and Glen of California and Roy of Muskegon, Michigan, and five grandchildren. His wife preceded her husband in death in 1931.
