Kitty was the daughter of Nancy "Nanny" Elizabeth ( Calvin) & Joshua "Doc" O'Daniel, Jr.
Kitty married John Hickman Lindsey on Oct. 21, 1874. Kitty & John had 4 children:
Annie Lee (1875-1961)
Harriett "Hattie" Belle (1877-1962)
Willie Ida (1879-1955)
Robert Edgar (1881-1882)
Kitty died one month after her twin sister, Betty passed away on April 13, 1883. Betty on the left, Kittie on the right in picture of the twin sisters.
Gravestone is hard to read but it does say she was age 32 which means her and twin Betty had to be born from Jan. 1 to early Feb, 1851, because a brother Joshua was born in November 1851, but at least we know they were both 32 at death. Husband last name spelled Hickmon instead of Hickman on stone. Some pictures have Kitty on the back of them, but spelled Kittie on gravestone. Her granddaughter, Gertie Rose has many pictures of Kitty and all of them spelled her name Kitty on the back of them. On legal documents at times you would see Kittie, but more spelled it Kitty. In regards to her last name Lindsey is more prominent than Lindsay as some have it listed.
