Son of Ruth and Edward McLaughlin. Half brother to Ellen, Elizabeth, Martha and Margaret. Married Elizabeth Catherine Conrad on Sept 28, 1852. Celebrated their 50th anniv in Sept 1902. Father of Susan Adeline, Nancy, Augusta Martha, Jennie, Roeanne Elizabeth, John L., Lyde Bonar and William Jacob.
Per his obituary in the Mansfield News, his funeral was held at the St. Peter's Evangelical Church. The assumption is that is where he was buried. ( his wife's obit, also in the Mansfield News, stated that "Burial south of town at the German Lutheran Cemetery"). In addition, daughter Roeanne Stoodt and her husband are buried in this cemetery.
