Dan Waite Cosper of LaFayette, Alabama was born August 19, 1904 in Easonville, Ala. He is the son of Edgar Marvin and Elizabeth Gertrude Cosper.
Mr. Cosper is a graduate of the Easonville High School and has completed an I.C.S. course.
Mr. Cosper began work with Avondale Mills in 1924 at Sycamore where he was employed until 1940. He was then transferred from Sycamore to the Avondale Mill LaFayette Plant.
For the past three years, Mr. Cosper has been Master Mechanic which position he now holds.
Dan Waite Cosper was married to Jewell Tucker Nov. 28, 1933 and they have one child, Scottie Fenell Cosper.

The funeral for Mr. Dan W. Cosper, 81, of LaFayette, was held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 1985, from LaFayette Heights Baptist Church, with burial in the LaFayette Cemetery, with Rev. Hugh Gilliam officiating.
Mr. Cosper died Friday, October 18, at University Hospital in Birmingham. He was a member of LaFayette Heights Baptist Church and a retired employee of Avondale Mill. He was a native of Talladega County.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Rena Cosper of LaFayette; one daughter, Scottie Cosper of LaFayette; one step-daughter, Mrs. Lou Fuller of Chattanooga, TN; one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Copeland of California; and three grandchildren.
