THE PARIS NEWS, Friday, July 31, 1953..
Miley Crow, 45, of 1900 N. Main Street, died Thursday at 4:30 p.m. at the Sanitarium of Paris, of head injuries received when he was accidentally struck by a tire rim Tuesday night. Owner of the Miley Oil Company, 1850 N. Main Street, he was helping to put a new truck tire on the rim when the tire blew the rim so that it struck Mr. Crow in the face, causing loss of his right eye and other injuries.
The funeral is Friday at 4:00 p.m., at First Baptist Church with the Revs. James Riley and McKnight Fite officiating. Gene Roden & Sons Funeral Home has charge of arrangements and making burial in Meadowbrook Memorial Park.
Miley was born at Direct, 23 Feb 1908, son of J.M. Crow and Allie Hudspeth. He had lived in Paris for several years. He married Alma Lorene Dennis on 13 Feb 1928.
Surviving are his parents, now living in Paris; his wife, Alma, of Paris; daughter, Mrs. Frank M. O'Brien Jr. of Paris; one grandchild and two sisters, Mrs. R.L. James of Paris and Mrs. J.A. Littrell of Commerce.
Pallbearers are E.E. Self, Willie Price, Miller Steed, Bud Jordan, J.C. Glasscock, Richard Carrington, I.W. Scott and Ray Jackson.
