DIED at the residence of Capt. Wiley Jones near this place, on the morning of the 17th instant, after a protracted illness, Mrs. Mary Duckett, aged about 75 years. Mrs. Duckett was a most exemplary woman, and the influence of her example, like bread cast upon the waters, will be seen many days hence. She had been a consistant and devoted member of the Methodist Church for a great number of years and died in peace and with a sure hope of a blessful immortality. She had many children, grand children and acquaintances to mourn her departure.
