Herb married Martha Augusta Nash in 1915. They were the parents of six children:William Emery, Herbert Arnold Jr., Julia Ann (Neudorff) Mumper, Rose Mary (Neudorff) Ollison, Martha Jane (Neudorff) Drannan Burton and Georgia Ellen (Neudorff) Wright.
Herb went to be with the Lord when he was 62 years old and was survived by his wife Martha, his children and their spouses:
William Emery, Herbert A. Jr. Julia Ann (Charles) Mumper, Rose Mary (Delbert) Ollison, Martha Jane (Ray) Burton and Ellen Wright.
He was also survived by 21 grandchildren: Mark Neudorff, Tod A. Neudorff, Gary Mumper, Kenneth Mumper, William Mumper, Bruce Mumper, Mary Patricia Ollison, Jeanine Ollison, Marion Ollison, Jane Ollison, Janet Ollison, James Drannan, Martha E.
