In his spare time,16--year-old Benny Zweigle did what most 16-year-old boys in Fresno, California did -- he hung out at a place called "the wall." It should've been harmless fun.

But one night in September 1993, a group of boys in a stolen Cadillac got into a shouting match with Benny and his friends. Police say that at just past 9:30 p.m., the kids in the car circled back and opened fire.

Benny was rushed to the hospital, but there was a bullet lodged in his brain. Faced with the knowledge that Benny was brain dead, his mother, Linda Zweigle, made a difficult decision -- she took Benny off life support and donated his organs for transplant.
