Headstone says born 1806. Death newspaper notice and Death Certificate attached says he was 90 years old when he died, indicating an 1802 birth date. I'm leaving it attached to show that there is no misrepresentation or poor transcription. Have found many mistakes in people's transcriptions (even my own errors). Open to receiving any additional information and documentation from anyone....The Haney, Bogley and O'Neale families all lived next to each other and some of their children married each other.....Benjamin was a Farmer his entire life, and his name is only Benjamin, some people tack on a Thomas or a Samuel, but those were not his names, just plain Benjamin in all records. If you have a document or evidence to indicate otherwise, I am happy to make any change or correction....

He died at 1647 32nd Street, Washington, DC according to Death Certificate

According to 1870 Census he could neither read nor write.

HANEY. On Wednesday, September 28, 1892, at 11:45 a.m., BENJAMIN HANEY, aged ninety years.
Funeral from his son's residence: 1047 32d street northwest, Friday, September 30, at 10 o'clock a.m. Private.
