Donald "Mick" Kenneth Overmyer was the son of Kenneth Overmyer and Elizabeth Harpel.

Mick was a 1942 graduate of Fremont Ross High School. Mick served in the United States Army during World War II from 1943 to 1946 in the Tank Division. His battles and campaigns included Rhineland, Central Europe and the Battle of the Bulge. Mick was awarded the American Theater Ribbon; European African-Middle Eastern Medal with two Bronze Stars; World War II Victory Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

On January 23, 1944, while serving in the Army, Mick married Jean Audrey Johnson in Lindsey, Ohio. He was a lifetime farmer and owned his own farm. Mick also worked as an Assistant Plant Manager for Clauss Cutlery for over thirty years and retired in 1975.

Mick was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Lindsey. He was a horse racing fan and enjoyed hunting, fishing and McDonald's Coffee Club.

Mick is survived by his wife of sixty-seven years; two children; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Pastor Robert Methney officiated at the service with Military Honors provided by the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
