Mrs. Angelene Rose Sohm, 56, of Rt. 4,
Great Bend, died Sunday,
(16 November 1980) at the Central Kansas
Medical Center here.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Fryberger Mortuary,
Great Bend, the Rev. Kenneth Hathaway
officiating. Burial will be in the
Otis (Kan.) Methodist Cemetery. Friends
may call after 6 p.m. today at the
mortuary. A memorial in Mrs. Sohm's
name has been established with the
Golden Belt Diabetic Association in
Great Bend.

She was born May 8, 1924, in Hoisington.
She married Vernon C. Sohm Oct. 10, 1942,
at Hoisington. He died May 20, 1977.

She had lived in Great Bend for a year,
moving from Hoisington. A homemaker, she
was a member of Trinity United Methodist
Church, Great Bend.

She is survived by four sons, Vernon Lee
and Clifford Leon, both of Great Bend,
Robert Dean of Colorado Springs, Colo.,
and John Edward of Otis; four daughters,
Mrs. Betty Michaelis of Russell,
Mrs. Verna Balusha of Hoisington, and
Mrs. Nancy Murray and Mrs. Faith Schloemer,
both of Great Bend; six brothers John Marcum
of Wichita, Elroy Holman of Georgia,
Herbert Marcum of Arizona, Robert Marcum of
Eads, Colo., Charles Marcum of Olathe and
Eugene Marcum of Osawatomie; four sisters,
Mrs. Louise Lehning and Mrs. Melvin Voos,
both of Hoisington, and Mrs. Kathryn Mullis of
Sterling, Colo., and Mrs. Carl Page of Merriam;
and 20 grandchildren.
