Norwood N. Afflerbach, 94, of Frederick Mennonite Homes, Frederick, Montgomery County, formerly of Quakertown, died Thursday in Pottstown Memorial Hospital. He was the husband of the late Nora (Stauffer) Afflerbach and Sallie (Freed) Allebach Afflerbach.

He was a baggage agent for the former Reading Railroad, Bethlehem, for more than 40 years, retiring in 1961.

Born in California, Richland Township, Bucks County, he was a son of the late Jacob J. and Emma (Fosbenner) Afflerbach.

He was a member of Lower Skippack Mennonite Church.

Survivors: Daughters, Ruth, wife of Maurice Fitzgerald and Orpha, wife of Philip Richter, both of Quakertown; sons, Paul and Joseph, both of Quakertown and Philip of Trumbauersville; stepdaughter, Laura, wife of Victor Frederick of Telford; stepson, Wilson Allebach of Harleysville; brother, Jacob J. of Geryville, Bucks County; 17 grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, five step-great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Mark.

Services: 7 p.m. Sunday in the church. Call 6-7 p.m. Sunday in the church. Arrangements, Clarence R. Strunk Funeral Home, Quakertown.
