Sarah Jane Mabbett, a native of Saratoga Springs, widow of the late William H. Bushnell, of New Hartford, Conn., died suddenly, Monday, May 25th, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Frank H. Collins, aged 73 years. The funeral and interment were held at Pine Meadow, Conn., on Friday the 29th. Mrs. Bushnell was an active member of the Episcopal church. She occupied such an indispensable position in the happy household of Mr. Collins, that of grandmother, beloved by all, that her sudden, unlooked for and never returning departure has cast a gloom of sadness and pain upon the family that only the lapse of years can remove. Words, competent to convey to the bereaved the sympathy we feel, were never made. We know that such things must be, 'tis the destiny of our race, and however painful the ordeal may be at such partings, we must submit to His will, who doeth all things well.
