OBITUARY: IDA BURRIGHT
IDA EMMA BURRIGHT was born in Ogle County, Illnois on August 26, 1872. At the age of 21 months she moved with her parents to Page County, Iowa, and the rest of her life was spent in Page and Taylor Counties. She passed away on Sept 9, 1957, at the Clarinda Municipal Hospital, at the age of 85 years and 14 days.
She had been a member of the Methodist Church since the early years of her life, and when able was a regular attendant.
She leaves three sisters, Mrs. Nettie Kinney, Blanche and Addie Burright, all of Clarinda, and a host of other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at the Foster-Harmon-Williams Mortuary Sept 11, 1957, at 2 pm. The Rev D C Davis officiated. Bearers were Cleo Batten, Glen Oxley, Lee Long, Robert Sanders, Clyde Long and Homer Kimpton. The flowers were cared for by Mrs. Marion Jetton and Mrs. Glen Oxley. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Burright sang "Beyond the Sunset" and "The Old Rugged Cross" accompanied by Mrs. Helen Hall Hoskinson at the organ. Interment was in Rose Hill Cemetery at Shenandoah, Iowa.
