      BRAINERD, Jan. 2—Mrs. Anna Helena Sundine, age 73, wife of Charles J. Sundine, 1010 Laurel street, died here yesterday. She was one of the earliest settlers in Brainerd, coming here with her husband Jan. 1, 1870, at a time when there was but one house and a tented village, where Brainerd now stands.
      Twelve children were born of which seven are living, being Mrs. A. B. Anderson, Agnes, George, Arthur, Mrs. Herman Stade, Frank and Ferdinand. The address of Arthur is not known at present, Ferdinand is in the American army in France. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the residence, Rev. Elof G.
