died at 10:45 a.m. Monday at the
home of her daughter Mrs. Minnie
Ramp, of Kokomo. Rev. Leroy
Myers will conduct funeral services
at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Edwards
Funeral home in Windfall.
Burial will follow in Brookside cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the
funeral home where friends may call.
The daughter of Joseph and Susan/Susanna
(Butler) Gifford, Mrs. Freeman
was born on July 8, 1869 in Ohio. She
and Arthur W. Freeman were married on
July 17, 1889 and he died in 1940.
Surviving are two sons, George
and Frank, both of Kokomo; two
daughters Mrs. Atha (Omer) Ford, of
Washington, D.C., and Mrs. Minnie (John) Ramp;
two half brothers, Thomas Gifford,
of Bluffton; Edward Gifford, of
Greensburg, and a half sister, Mrs. Lillie
(William) Pendergrass, also of Greensburg.
Also surviving are five grandchildren
and 12 great grandchildren.
