Hugh Evans, Girard, Dies
Former Youngstown Man Expires at Home - Was Born in Wales 68 Years Ago
Hugh B. Evans, for many years a Youngstown resident, died at his home, 210 E. Prospect St., Girard, Wednesday afternoon of a complication of diseases.
Mr. Evans was born in Wales 68 years ago, and came to this city when he was 20 years of age. He was widely known here and was formerly associated with Republic Rubber Co. Mr. Evans had many friends in this city and was highly esteemed.
Those who knew him will regret to hear of his death. In recent years Mr. Evans retired and moved to Girard.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Sarah Evans, a son, Stanley, and a daughter, Bessie Evans. A brother, Evan J Evans (# 94160309), and a sister, https://www.findagrave.com/memorial/57013716/mary-elizabeth-ellis, preceded him in death.
The funeral will be held from the residence in Girard Saturday at two p.m. Services will be in charge of Rev. Hughes of the Welsh Congregational Church of Youngstown. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
