Russell Duane Hurlbutt, age 75, , formerly of Ithaca, N.Y. passed away on Thursday, April 28, 2005 at the Arnot Ogden Medical Center in Elmira, N.Y.
Mr. Hurlbutt was born September 29,1929 in Tioga, Pa. the son of D. Russell and Kathryn Cummings Hurlbutt. He was a veteran of The US Army serving his country from 1955-1958.
Duane owned and operated Hurlbutt Builders Contracting Company in the Ithaca area for several years.
He was predeceased by his parents and a his brother Jack Hurlbutt and his grandson Ethan Alexander Cox.
Duane is survived by his daughters and sons-in-law Diane and Steve Winkler and Sarah Jill & Michael Cox; lifetime friend and former wife; Hope Hurlbutt Bachman; two grandchildren; Bradley Winkler and Cassidy Winkler; sister Reita Mitchell; brothers Gary and Mark Hurlbutt;
and special Army buddie Wayne White.
