William A. King III
King, William A., III RAVENA William A. King III, 68, passed away Tuesday, July 12, 2011 after a lost battle with cancer surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born in Albany son of the late William Jr. and Dorthea Lafferty KIng and has lived in Ravena for many years. In the late '60s Bill was a fireman for the Albany Fire Department; worked 35 years for Adirondack Trailways and retired in 2008 from the R.C.S. school district. He enjoyed Caribbean cruises with his late wife "Ronni" and family and friends, loved camping, and he was an avid Yankees and Dallas Cowboys fan. Most of all he loved his children and grandchildren. Bill was predeceased by his wives Veronica Cataldo King and Nance Stewart King. Survivors include his children, william A. (Rebecca Walker) King IV, Jacqueline (Ruben Fontaez) Albino, Scott (Susa) King Sr., Gina (Fritz Persico) Cataldo and Anthony (Lisa) Cataldo; four grandchildren Daisha, Scott Jr. and Jance King and Sydney Cataldo; two brothers, Robert T. King of Albany and John (Ann) Btag of Schenectady; sister, Clara (Martin) Filkins of Rensselaer; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16 at the Babcock Funeral Home, Ravena. Burial will follow in St. Patirck's Cemetery, Coeymans. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. Contributions in memory of William may be made to Community Hospice of Rensselaer, 295 Valley View Rd., Rensselaer, NY 12144.
