NAME: Delbert Marvin "Del" Maynard.
FATHER: Dewey C. Maynard.
MOTHER: Dorothy Mae (Wise) Maynard.
WIFE: Ann Harrington Maynard.

TWO SONS:
• Jay Maynard.
• Rob Maynard.

Del Maynard was born October 28, 1934; and, peacefully passed away on August 1, 2011, in Sioux City, Woodbury County, Iowa.

He was a man with a quick sense of humor, and a twinkle in his eyes. Del greatly enjoyed the "down-to-earth" pleasures of this life: music, gardening, going fishing, playing horseshoes; and, talking with friends. But most of all, he cherished his family.

Rather than mourning, it seems more fitting to 'celebrate' the life he led. Del Maynard was a kind and loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a treasured and beloved friend to many; and, he will be missed by all who knew him.

*ANCESTRY: The Maynards in this family line are the direct descendants of John Maynard of Sudbury, Massachusetts.

Delbert Maynard's line-of-descent is through his great grandparents, Solomon VanBuren Maynard (1836–1931), and Mary Arvilla [Crane] Maynard (1840–1877), who homesteaded north of Richland along the banks of the Big Sioux River, in Dakota Territory [now Union County, South Dakota], in 1868.
