Chuck was employed as an accountant. He lived in Virginia, Texas, and Iowa. He moved back to Esterville and lived there from 1983-1985. He moved to Ames, Iowa where he operated Higgins Accounting.
Chuck was a former member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Esterville. He assisted with AWANA in Des Moines. He enjoyed playing volleyball and watching Alex play soccer.
He was preceded in death by his sister: Alyssa Higgins Bargen and nephew Jeremiah Bargen
