Cecilia, daughter of John and Minnie (Palmer) Grommesh, was born March 11, 1911, in Barnesville. She attended school and grew to womanhood in Barnesville, graduating from Barnesville High School in 1929. She worked for the Nelson Five and Dime in Barnesville.
She married Percy Aamodt on May 26, 1931, in Barnesville. The couple made their home in Barnesville where she worked for Lake's Café in Barnesville. She later worked for the Zimmerman's and the Dobmeier's in the Ben Franklin Store in Barnesville. She worked for Oscar and Julia Aamodt in Aamodt's Clothing Store, Barnesville and she worked for Monty Sheffer and Dick Sylvester in their Clothing Store in Barnesville.
Mr. Aamodt died in 1985. She continued to live in Barnesville and in 1998 became a resident of the Barnesville Good Samaritan Center where she lived until the time of her death.
Ce was a life long member of the Assumption Catholic Church and St. Ann's Guild. She was a member of the Lady Foresters for more than 50 years. She enjoyed embroidering, crossword puzzles and playing cards.
She is survived by four grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and one sister, Mildred Schindler of Barnesville.
Ce is preceded in by her parents; her husband; her son James; and one other son who died in infancy; her granddaughter Tammy; and her brother Ken.
