Glenn Davis Harrison

Mr. Glenn Davis Harrison, 73, of Alma, Ga., passed away Wednesday afternoon, July 7, 2004, at Satilla Regional Medical Center in Waycross, Ga., following a brief illness.

Mr. Harrison, a native of Bacon County, was the son of the late Stephen and Eunice Harrison. He had live many years in St. Mary's, Ga., before moving back to Bacon County in 1974. Mr. Harrison was a retired supervisor with Gilman Paper Co. in St. Mary's and was also a farmer in the Coffee community of Bacon County. He attended several churches in Bacon and Camden counties and was a U.S. Army veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include: his wife of 54 years, Jessie P. Harrison of Alma, Ga.; two sons, Terry Harrison and Tony Harrison and wife, Dawn, all of Alma, Ga.; three grandchildren, Kevin, Hope, and Stephen Harrison, all of Alma, Ga.; several nieces and nephews. Mr. Harrison was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth Harrison.

Funeral services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, July 10, 2004, at the Chapel of Smith Funeral Home, Blackshear, Ga. Burial followed in Friendship Methodist Church Cemetery in Bacon County.
