Memorials may be made to the Bob Costas Cancer Center at Cardinal Glennon Children's Hospital at 1465 South Grand Blvd, St. Louis Missouri 63104 or at any Baue Funeral Home location. James Francis McBain Sr. was born to Hugh and Lucille McBain in St. Louis Missouri. His loving parents preceded him in death. Mr. McBain was a member of American Legion Post #444, a member of the South St. Louis Det. Marine Corps League and of the first and third Marine Division. He was active with the Scottish American Military Society and was a member of the Scottish St. Andrews Society. He was also a member of the Clan McBean in North America. Mr. McBain worked as a pressman for the Suburban Journal for over 25 years. He is survived by his beloved wife, Elizabeth I. McBain of Florissant Missouri, his children, Janice (Jerry) Kenkel of St. Charles Missouri and James F. McBain Jr. (Angie Dowell) of Columbia Missouri, two grandsons, Steven P. and Andrew J. Kenkel both of St. Charles Missouri, one brother, H. Philip McBain (Candy) of St. Louis Missouri, two sisters, Linda Boyce (Buzz) of St. Louis Missouri, and Karen Varady (Tim) of Granite City Illinois, and his other loving relatives, Caroll DeClue (Robert) of St. Charles Missouri, Estelle Shaw (Terry) of St. Charles Missouri, Robert Carroll (Barbara), Rayetta Williamson, and Dan Pirkey (Elaine). He was a dear nephew and cousin. Mr. McBain was preceded in death by one brother, Dennis R. McBain (Joanne). James will be sadly missed by all of his family and friends.
