Emma Lille Pflughaupt was one of 11 children of Ludwig Pflughaupt and Mary Klassen. Emma married William Patrick Fitzgerald on January 25, 1905. They had four children, Patrick, Margaurite, William and Kathryn. Son William Robert Fitzgerald was born in New Buffalo on January 30, 1918 and passed away in Dallas, Texas on February 18, 1981. He donated his body to science, so there is no burial information. He is remembered here with his brother and sisters, and with his brother Norman at Laurel Land in Dallas Texas. Emma's husband William passed away in 1929. Emma subsequently married Fred Cross. I have wonderful memories of visiting my Grandma Cross in New Buffalo.
