Frances A. Colacurcio, who lived in Yonkers from the time of her birth to 1983 when she moved to Del Ray Beach, FL, died Wednesday, August 1, 2001. She was ninety-one.
She was born in Yonkers on October 1, 1909, a daughter of Salvatore and Anna (Rohm) DiMase. With her husband, John P. Colacurcio, she was the owner and operator of The Vineyard Market in Yonkers.
She is survived by her grandchildren, John and Joseph Colacurcio, Fran Croughan and Deborah Lindberg-Gliptis, her daughter-in-law Gianna Garafola-Colacurcio, her brother, Nicholas DiMase, her sister, Cristina Racioppi, and six great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband in 1972 and her son John Joseph Colacurcio who died January 16, 2001, her daughter-in-law Joan Colacurcio, as well as her brother Anthony DiMase and sisters Angie Catullo and Lucy Reed.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at JOSEPH J. SMITH FUNERAL HOME. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 a.m. at St. John The Evangelist Church in Mahopac, NY.
Entombment will follow at Ferncliff Mausoleum in Hartsdale, NY.
