Mrs. Winebrenner was in feeble health for fifteen years and with the care of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John B. Demorest in their last sickness was seriously overtaxed and could not rally from the strain and anxiety which crushed her and carried her away in the prime of her life and usefulness. She was born in the town of Calamus, March 2, 1857, where her early life was spent. She was married to Mr. Henry Winebrenner, Dec. 31, 1872. Her husband and eight children survive. Her children are: Mrs. Jennie Knaup, Oshkosh, Wis.; Mrs. Thomas Naprella, Milwaukee; Ernest, Fred and Herbert Winebrenner, Mrs. Ed. Teichmueller, Mrs. Frank Schmidt, and Miss Pearl Winebrenner of this city. Her half brothers, Peter Haring of Escanaba, Michigan, and John Haring of Portland.
Mrs. Winebrenner was brought up by godly parents and early gave her heart to God. She united with the Assembly Presbyterian church when she was sixteen years of age and maintained a consistent Christian character all through her eventful life. She had her trials and afflictions but was wonderfully supported and sustained in them all. She was a faithful wife and loving mother and greatly respected by all who knew her.
The funeral was on Monday at 2 p.m. and her burial in Oakwood cemetery.
