The remains were brought to Zionville for interment, Reverend R. C. Eggers, a former pastor and friend conducted the services. Many former friends attended the burial.
Five brothers and two sisters survive.
Tributes of respect were paid to Mrs. Lyons high character by Reverend R. C. Eggers, Professor J. M. Downant and J. R. Isaacs.
Mrs. Lyons was a consistent member of the Baptist Church for 24 years. She did good work in the Sunday school and church. For a number of years she taught school in North Carolina and Tennessee.
