Perry C. Henson, 87, loving husband, father and grandfather, passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011. Funeral: 1:30 p.m. Tuesday in Greenwood Chapel. Interment: Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Funeral Home.
Perry was born Jan. 28, 1924, in Austin. He graduated from Paschal High School and Southwestern Graduate School of Banking at SMU. He started as a banker at Fort Worth National Bank and moved to Riverside State Bank, working his way up from bookkeeper to chairman of the board. Perry was a member of the Masonic Lodge and was also an avid golfer.
Survivors: Wife of 64 years, Rita J. Henson; children, Wade Henson and wife, Lacy, Randy Henson and wife, Janet, and Cindy Henson; and five grandchildren.
