Kathryn Wright was Harmon's daughter.

Harmon Webster Wright was the fourth son of eight children born in the farming and logging area of Burke, Angelina County, Texas to Rev. John Wesley Wright (1856 TX - 1917 Ryan Chapel Cemetery, Angelina Co., TX) and Elizabeth "Lizzie" Louise Tiller 1865 TX - 1930 Kern Co., CA). He grew up in Angelina County, Texas. Harmon Wright married a young Texan woman Gladys Ethel Henington. By age 22 he was working for a railroad in Texas, and eventually became a Station Manager for Southern Pacific Railroad assigned to various locations in California.

He loved his parents very much. His father Rev. John Wesley Wright died two days before he and Lizzie's 35th wedding anniversary in 1917. By 1920 Lizzie Wright and youngest son Fred Wright, age 14, lived in Trinity County, Texas with her son Robert Wright, a farmer, and his young wife Rachel Sisson. After Rachel and their newborn infant died unexpectedly, Lizzie and Fred were invited by Harmon and Gladys to live with them in California. Harmon and his wife Gladys had two young daughters, Melba and Kathryn. Lizzie and Fred became part of Harmon's family.

Harmon loved his young brother. He looked after Fred and made it possible for Fred to work for his employer of many years, Southern Pacific Railroad. He began as a Telegraph Operator and eventually a Station Agent.

Elizabeth Louise "Lizzie" Tiller Wright died in 1930. Harmon Wright had her laid to rest in what became North Kern Cemetery, the only public cemetery in Kern County, California. The simple headstone reads E. Wright.
