He was a 1972 graduate of Central Catholic High School in Reading and had also taken some trade school courses following high school.
Mr. Buzalewski was employed by GE Water as a field service representative. He had previously worked for the ATT/Lucent/Agere Company in Reading. He attended Christ the King Roman Catholic Church in Benton and also visited Christ United Methodist Church in the Village of Central.
An avid hunter, he was a member of the Safari Club and the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation. He loved to hunt and travel and his passion for hunting took him all over the world on hunting trips.
He had a love for life and nature and lived life to the fullest. Gary always had a smile on his face and never met a stranger he didn't like. "To the world he was just Gary, but to us, he was the world."
Surviving, in addition to his wife, Diane, are his sister, Linda J. Kolasinski, of Reading; a brother, David J. Buzalewski and his wife, Grazyna, of Leesport; his sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Deb and Jack Rinker, of Muncy and his mother-in-law, Priscilla A. Lewis, of Proctor, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Joann L. (Wityczak) Buzalewski in 1989.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at Christ The King Catholic Church, Mendenhall Lane, Benton, with Father Timothy D. Marcoe, as Celebrant. Burial will be in Barbours Cemetery, Lycoming County. A Viewing will be held Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the McMichael Funeral Home, Inc., 4394 Red Rock Road, Benton (Rt. 487).
