T.C. Sandlin Jr. 85 passed away Monday May 23, 2011 at his home in Girard, Texas. He was born on July 18, 1925 to Terrell Carroll and Effie (Albin) Sandlin Sr. in Stonewall County. He married O'Dell Meyers September 2,1950 in Spur.
T.C. lived in Girard for forty plus years with his wife O'Dell who passed away in 2009. Living in Girard he made his living as a farmer and enjoyed fishing and eating his catch.
T.C. Sandlin Jr. is survived by one son L.J. Gibson of Girard, Texas; two grandchildren James Tucker Gibson and Christy Lu Daffern and five great grandchildren. He is also survived by five nieces Linda Johnson of Jayton, Tx; Carol Hallum of Lake Livingston, Tx; Billie Gordy of Snyder, Tx; Nancy Stansell of Snyder, Tx; and Paula Phillips of White House, Tenn.; along with one nephew John Gholson of New Jersey.
T.C. was preceded in death by his wife O'Dell Myers Sandlin and his parents Terrell Carroll and Effie Sandlin Sr. along with two sisters Christine Gohlson and Maxine Woodrem, one brother Bill Sandlin and Clara Jane Yarbrough.
Graveside services for T.C. Sandlin Jr. will be Wednesday, May 25, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at the Girard Cemetery with Eric Swenson officiating under the direction of Campbell Funeral Home in Spur, Texas.
