MOULTRIE -- Bobbie Goolsby Jones, 99, of Moultrie died Thursday, Jan. 1, 2004, at Sunrise Nursing Home.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. J.E. Moak, Dr. Jerry Mahan and the Rev. Roger Benton officiating. Burial will be in Hartsfield Cemetery. Pallbearers will be David Barlow, David Jones, Patrick Jones, Christopher Cain, Al Sherling and Ray Clauss.

Born Oct. 12, 1904, in Stewart County, Mrs. Jones was the daughter of the late Rodolph Goolsby and Alice Goss Goolsby. She was a retired legal secretary and Star Route carrier. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Moultrie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dink Jones; two daughters, Anne J. Sherling and Carole J. Barefield; six brothers; and five sisters.

Survivors include two sons, Robert D. Jones and wife Nadene of Satsuma, Fla., William R. Jones of Moultrie; two daughters, Marie J. Helms and husband Melvin of Moultrie and Patricia J. Cain and husband Tom of Denton, Texas; 21 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 7-9 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.

Harrell-Faircloth Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
