Verneda married Marvin Kimbell June 6, 1948 at First Lutheran (First Branch) Church. They raised 4 children, Norene, Keith, Curtis, Craig.
She was a member of the Church Auxiliary and Russell Creek Neighborhood Club. She enjoyed both her vegetable garden and flower garden.
She is survived by her daughter: Norene (Fred) Steele of Lincoln, NE; sons: Keith (Sandi) Kimbell of Unadilla, NE, Curtis Kimbell of Palmyra, NE, Craig (Chris) Kimbell and of Unadilla, NE, 7 Grandchildren, Stephanie Kuhn (Bill); Nicole Spanel (Paul), Adair Kimbell, Andrew Kimbell, Mitchell Kimbell, Hannah Kimbell, Nathan Kimbell, 3 Great Grandchildren, 3 Step Grandchildren, Scott Remmington and wife Rachelle, Nick Peterson (Tamara), Dustin Peterson, 6 Step Great Grandchildren, Sisters-in-law Opal Sylvester, of Lincoln, NE, and Marie Stubbendeck, of Unadilla, NE.
