Ralph W. Hall Battle Creek Ralph W. Hall, 74, of Battle Creek, died Friday, Jan. 5, 1996, in Battle Creek. He was born June 3, 1921, in Dayton, Tenn., to Eli L. and Maggie J. (White) Hall and attended school there. He was employed as a carpenter at Oliver Corp. for 18 years, was a self-employed carpenter for several years and worked out of Carpenters Local 871 for 17 years, retiring in 1984. His wife, the former Maxine Jane Elliot, died Sept 8, 1991. Also preceding him in death were a son, Ralph W. Hall Jr. on May 8, 1991; brothers, Albert C, Willis and Clifford Hall; and sisters, Vesta Monaweck, Rosie Huskins and Rede Eakins. Surviving are a son, Robert W. "Bob" Hall of Battle Creek; four grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Nancy Ruth Nouhan of Battle Creek. Community involvement, hobbies: Enjoyed fishing and hunting. Visitation: After 2 p.m. Monday at Bachman Hebble Funeral Service, where the family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with Rev. Eric M. Grant officiating. Burial: Fort Custer National Cemetery. Memorials: Good Samaritan Hospice Care.
