Naomi R. Buechele, 86, Altoona, died Thursday at Golden LivingCenter-Hillview after an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of Rudolph and Agnes (Lantzy) Strittmatter. She married John T. Buechele on Feb. 17, 1950, in Altoona, and he died in 2003.
Surviving are four daughters: Anita Coley and husband, Richard, Karen Litzinger and husband, Michael, Nanette Huston and husband, Dale, and Jeannine Thomas; two sons: John and wife, Michele, and David; 14 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a brother, Father Joseph Strittmatter.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: Geraldine and Vernita.
Naomi was a graduate of Mount Aloysius High School, Cresson. She was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church.
At the request of the deceased, there will be no public viewing. Interment will be at Blair Memorial Park.
