She was born February 27, 1925, in Conewago Twp., York Co., the daughter of the late Bernard F. and Bertha M. (Smith) Aumen.
Mrs. Gebhart was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in New Oxford, the Marian Oxfordites at the church, the Blessed Virgin Fidelity Group, the Oahu Guitar Band from 1940-1943, and AARP.
Estella is survived by nine children: daughters, Mary Sue Lovett of Allison Park, Paulette M. Klein and husband, David of Cynthiana, KY, Clare J. Crone and husband, Gary of Gettysburg, Veronica "Ronnie" Hawn and husband, Thomas of Hanover, Rosemarie T. Herman and husband, Rick of New Oxford, Cecelia A. Clippinger and husband, Gregory of Carlisle; sons, Frank R. Gebhart and companion, Amy Helsel of New Oxford; Stephen M. Gebhart and wife, Luann of Hanover, Christopher J. Gebhart and wife, Vicki of Hanover; 24 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Sister Paula Mary Aumen, RSM, of McSherrystown, Charlotte Hull of York New Salem, and Bertie Kuhn of Abbottstown; and three brothers, Thomas Aumen and wife, Brigitta of Hamilton, Ohio, Lawrence Aumen and wife, Nancy of New Oxford, and Adrian Aumen and wife, Leslie of Spring Grove.
She was predeceased by a son-in-law, Richard M. Lovett; three brothers, Bernard Aumen, Jr., Father Paul Aumen, C.P.P.S., and Philip Aumen; a sister, Theresa DelRosso; a sister-in-law, Bernadette Aumen; and a brother-in-law, John Kuhn.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated, August 2, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, New Oxford, with Father Charles Persing, Father Robert Gotwalt, Father Lawrence McNeil, and Deacon Tom Aumen as Con-Celebrants. Burial will be in Conewago Chapel Cemetery in Edgegrove.
