Oris Nelson Board, 79, of Gay died Friday at Jackson General Hospital, Ripley after a long illness. A retired larorer, he was the son of the late Thomas and Viola Thomas Board. Survivors include his wife, Belma; three sons, Basil of Fairplain, Thomas of Ripley and Bernard of Gay; three daughters, Mrs. Bertha Brotemarkle of Gay, Mrs. Dinna Torres, Clovis, Calif., and Mrs. Beverly Kidd of Evans; one sister, Mrs. Faye Suck of Silverton; 14 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Parsons Funeral Home in Ripley with the Rev. Clarence Edens officiating. Burial will take place at the Pine Hill Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3 p.m. today (Sunday).
