Born Nov. 22, 1908, in Bement to John and Ida Anderson Glynn, he married Alice Jones on June 10, 1933, in Tuscola. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Terry of East Peoria; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Waite of Evansville, Wis., Mrs. Helen Goodmen of Clinton and Mrs. Vickie Hauser of Bradenton, Fla.; one brother, Harry of Bradenton; two granddaughters; and one great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by one grandson and one brother.
He was a teacher and principal in various school districts in Illinois for 39 years. He was a golf starter in Rockford for 10 years.
He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Rockford; Tebala Shrine; American Legion Post in Weldon; the Winnebago County and Boone County Teachers Organization; Illinois Retired Teachers Association and Rockford Masonic Lodge. He was past president and past secretary of the YMCA Retired Men's Golf Club in Rockford. He was Past Master of Cerro Gordo Masonic Lodge. He was a World War II Army veteran.
Graveside services will be at Cerro Gordo Cemetery in Cerro Gordo.
